Seattle Medical and Wellness Clinic is now Trust Women Seattle. During the ownership transition, it will take some time to establish contracts with individual insurance companies. We are sorry for the inconvenience but will soon accept private insurance.
As of July 3, 2017 we are accepting Apple Health, Cigna and First Health Choice. Trust Women Seattle has a policy of not turning away any patient for lack of ability to pay. Please call the office if you need assistance. Thank you for your patience.

Insurance: Many insurance plans are accepted with pre-approval. If you are not sure whether your plan covers abortion services, we'll be happy to verify benefits for you with 24 hours advance notice: Please call the clinic and have the following information available:
Non-billing fee: This is available for those patients who qualify for our sliding fee price at the time of their visit. We accept cash and credit/debit cards (MC/VISA); however, we do not accept personal checks.
Washington Apple Health: Medicaid in Washington state is now called "Washington Apple Heath." This is a free, comprehensive health insurance program offered through the state of Washington that covers abortion services.
Washington is one of the few states that will allow you to use state-funded coverage to pay for an abortion procedure. So many patients are unaware of this safety net. Eligibility is based on being pregnant and income, though you do not have to be in "dire poverty" to qualify and you can even have your own health insurance. Many pregnant women, especially military personnel and students, are eligible for Washington Apple Health Pregnancy Coverage.
THIS IS SPECIAL APPLE INSURANCE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN (there is different Apple Health insurance for non-pregnant women). The income requirements are better for PREGNANT women to make it easier for them to get the care they need.
|Household Size ** for 2016||Monthly Income for 2016|
**To determine your household size, include yourself, any dependent children, and spouses. Then add ONE to that number (Apple counts the pregnancy as one), for the total household size. For example a married couple with no children would be considered a three person household. **
To see if you qualify, simply log on to: "Washington Health Plan Finder" and click on the APPLE HEALTH tab to complete the online application. Once you are approved, let us know. We can usually verify your coverage withing 24 hours of your applying on-line. Please call us if you have any questions about this program or if you need assistance with the application process.
Pregnant TEENS health care coverage: If you are under 19 or have special confidentiality concerns, your application process can be even easier and quicker. Give us a call, and one of our informed and supportive patient advocates will be happy to show you how to apply for coverage in person at our clinic or at one of the DSHS Community Service Offices (CSO) nearest to you. Call us for more information.
RETRO- ACTIVE Apple Health: If you are a current patient, and you paid cash for your abortion, we can still help you get Apple Health to pay for your abortion and REFUND your money if didn’t know you were eligible for Apple Health Care for Pregnant Women. Call our office for details if you are still within 21 days of your procedure.
Military and student discount: Honored with proper, current military or student photo identification.
"Dear Dr. Gibbons and all the girls in the office, I want to thank you for all your help and support through the last month. You made everything so much easier to deal with and made me feel so comfortable."
